Jim studies photography from traditional black and white to color, through alternative and experimental techniques applied to the digital image. While his formal education culminated in a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Notre Dame, his endless curiosity about the art of creating an image has not ceased.
Since graduating he has continued to develop as an artist and technical expert which has led to his participation in numerous exhibits as well as talks given throughout the United States, Canada, and the Singapore Art Museum on color management, workflow and paper manufacturing.
Jim lives, teaches and continues to explore the photographic image in a far northwest suburb of Chicago with his loving wife, where they have recently built and enjoy an energy efficient geothermal home on two plus acres of wooded land.
