My art is a harmonious, conscious mark-making of a Zen-like modernism with a contemporary approach to what I perceive. I feel like what I see is natural. But, I see it in parts, shapes, and disjointed forms which I express through a fluidity of basic organic configurations in watercolors, giving a calming effect through nuances in the visual interest I try to portray. My sense of my process is complete when those beautiful fragments come together in a whole. The visual interest lies, I think, in the resistance of strict technique which gives way to a contemporary, naturally inspired, layered form of expression in which colors and shapes make synaptic connections. It is a multidimensional space where a variety colors, shapes, ideas, and thoughts coexist.
