Sylvia Cook is lucky enough to call the Pacific Northwest home, settling in the Seattle area during her school years. Growing up with a father who was a photographer, she learned to appreciate the great outdoors from an early age. Weekends were spent hiking in the mountains and learning and watching her father take photographs.
There was a natural evolution of her hobby into both a portrait business and selling her fine art photography. Everything in the world around her is inspiring, from the tiniest mushroom in the grass, to the vast landscapes of her travels. Influenced by the shabby chic, cottage style of home decor, you will find her floral images sophisticated, elegant and feminine. Her work has been called gracefully soothing, warm, comforting and versatile.
